Are the displays weatherproof?
Yes, graphics are printed on coroplast and, therefore, are weatherproof. We purchase our graphics from the best vendors. Each graphic is costly to replace as we only pick the best options for our yard card displays.
Do you set up displays in the rain or snow?
Weather can play a role in the timing of the setup of your yard card display. Yard Card Genie LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a set up for pickup of your display. If this happens, we will contact you immediately and will work with you to arrange an alternate date and time. An alternate date and time is subject to availability. We do not set up in severe weather. We define severe weather as heavy rain, hail, lightning, winter storms and blizzards and heavy winds.
Where do you deliver?
We currently offer free delivery for Calvert County, Maryland, and St. Mary’s County Maryland. Some of these cities include Dunkirk, Huntingtown, Chesapeake Beach, North Beach, Prince Frederick, St. Leonard, Broomes Island, Lusby, Solomons, Ridge, Lexington Park, California, Leonardtown, Great Mills, Mechanicsville, Hollywood, Charlotte Hall, Hughesville just to name a few. This applies for both yard card and custom party favors. An additional $55 travel fee may be required for certain zip codes. Please contact us for information on shipping outside of those counties and for out of state shipping.
Can I buy a yard card display to keep?
No, our displays are for renting only. We offer three (3) display packages for rent with many color options to choose from. We set design the display, deliver the setup to the delivery address requested, and come back to remove the display. All you do is enjoy!! We do offer personalized graduation yard cards with images of the graduate on them for sale. These can be purchased from our website.
How long can I rent a yard card display?
Yard Card Rentals are for 24 hours. Delivery is between 6pm-11pm the night before the celebration date. Pick up is from 6pm-11pm the day of the celebration. For $15 you can add an additional day towards your rental. Max is 3 days for all yard card rentals. Additional days are based on availability and inventory. Please review our Customer Agreement for specifics on Graduation Yard Card Rentals as this information changes by the year and county.
Why do I need to water my lawn?
Metal stakes will be placed up to 6 inches into the ground. Therefore, the ground must be saturated enough to secure metal stakes. We recommend you water your lawn for days leading up to your yard card rental delivery including 30 minutes on the day of your yard card delivery. This is especially important on hot summer and fall days.
Can I move my yard card display once it has been delivered?
No, yard card displays cannot be touched, moved, or removed for any reason once it is delivered. If you have concerns over the placement of your display, please call, text or email us as soon as possible. There is a $100 Covid-19 cleaning fee plus a damage fee for any display that has been touched, moved, or removed.
Do you require a deposit to make a reservation?
No, we do not require a deposit for either the yard cards or the custom party favors. Payment is full is required to officially reserve your dates. Non-payment will result in automatic cancellation of your rental request.
What types of events can I reserve?
We can help you celebrate every occasion and every day in between! This includes but is not limited to birthday, graduation, baby shower, new baby, bridal shower, wedding, home going celebration, anniversary, retirement and more!
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds under any circumstances on yard card rentals. Rather a credit will be issued on your Yard Card Genie LLC account and will be applied in full towards your next reservation. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances on custom party favor orders since supplies and materials will have been purchased by then.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We understand life happens. Therefore, we ask you notify us 48 hours prior for yard card reservations, and five (5) days prior to your custom party favor delivery.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made on our website at https://www.theyardcardgenie.com or by calling (443) 404-1208. Office hours are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, and 8am-12pm Saturday-Sunday.
Do you have an office I can visit?
Not as of yet,as of now we are a virtual business. We do offer virtual appointments. Please email us at yardcardgenie@gmail.com or call (443) 404-1208 to set up a virtual appointment.
